Yesterday we hosted the Chinese Spring Festival, organized in partnership with the Chinese Embassy and the Confucius Institute in Skopje.

The Chinese Spring Festival marks the Lunar New Year, a time centered on family, home, and exchanging wishes for good fortune and prosperity. Our students had the opportunity to experience these traditions firsthand in a joyful and meaningful way.

The Ambassador to Macedonia, Her Excellency Mme. Ambassador Jiang Xiaoyan, visited our Early Education Center, where our youngest learners greeted her in Chinese and learned about the symbolism and customs associated with the celebration. Throughout the day, students across divisions explored Chinese culture through traditional dance and musical performances, calligraphy workshops, a tea ceremony experience, and the delicate art of paper cutting. The celebration concluded with a tasting of traditional Chinese food, bringing the cultural experience full circle.

Events like this reflect our commitment to diversity, global understanding, and helping students grow as balanced, informed, and empathetic thinkers.

Thank you to the Chinese Embassy and the Confucius Institute for sharing this rich cultural tradition with our community.

To immerse in the event, watch the report on Telma TV on Sunday at 5:30 pm.
