The Battle of the Books Finals brought our elementary community together for a joyful academic celebration.
The room was buzzing with energy as Grades 3–5 students took the stage after months of shared reading and preparation. Teams showed strong comprehension, quick thinking, and real collaboration, drawing on six novels they had read and discussed together.
While 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place were awarded, the event was about much more than scores. Students were also recognized for teamwork, sportsmanship, and commitment, reminding us that excellence includes how we work with others.
Moments like this show how powerful reading becomes when it is shared.
