Dear CEESA Community,

By May, schools are full of evidence.

You can see it in the projects being finished, the performances being rehearsed, the exams begun, and the conversations about transitions already beginning. You can hear it in the questions students ask now that they would not have asked in September. You can feel it in teams who have worked through a full year together and know more about what their students, colleagues, and communities need.

May is not only a time to wrap things up. It is a time to pay attention in looking to what’s next.

At CEESA, we are doing the same. We are listening to what this year has shown us, noticing where schools are asking for support, and planning carefully for the year ahead. The CEESA Board of Directors came together recently with that future in mind, reflecting on the needs of member schools and shaping plans for 2026/27 and the longer future of the association.

It was good to be in the same room, not simply to discuss calendars and events, but to compare realities, share perspectives, and think together about how CEESA can continue to serve schools well. The conversation was a clear reminder of one of our Core Values: “No school is an island.”

When schools share what they are learning, the whole region benefits. And as we move toward the close of this year, that shared learning is already helping shape what comes next.
