“Where creativity meets education, learning takes center stage.”

October 7–9 marked an extraordinary milestone for our school community as we launched our latest collaboration with performing artists from the renowned Ilkhom Theater of Mark Weil. While our school and the Ilkhom Theater share a rich history of partnering on creative projects for over 15 years, this marked the fourth consecutive year of bringing this powerful, specialized collaboration directly to our elementary students.

Designed for young learners from Kindergarten through Grade 5, this unique partnership brought local, world-class professionals into our classrooms to inspire and mentor our students.

Connecting directly to the Grade 3 unit of inquiry, How We Express Ourselves, each day featured mini masterclasses where artists shared the depth, function, and creative potential of their respective disciplines, offering our students an invaluable, hands-on window into the professional performing arts.

Over three immersive days, our students learned directly from master practitioners across dance, voice, and physical theater. On October 7, professional dance choreographer Ms. Rita guided our Grade 2 and Grade 3 classes in devising an original modern dance piece. On October 8, professional actress and speech coach Ms. Yuliya worked with students to explore vocal development as a powerful medium for expression and communication. Finally, on October 9, actor, film/TV director, and screenwriter Mr. Abdulaziz introduced students to the dynamic arts of physical movement and clowning techniques. Building on over a decade and a half of shared tradition, this initiative provided our students with a rare opportunity to cultivate confidence, discover new creative avenues, and learn directly from leaders of Uzbekistan’s vibrant artistic landscape.

International Day celebrates diversity and belonging. It is about learning in a school where differences are valued, connections are built across cultures, and every student has a place and a voice.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our second Parade of Nations a memorable celebration of our community.
