On September 10, the International School of Krakow (ISK) hosted a remarkable afternoon with the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters, bringing an experience in engaging, movement-based learning to our community.
Beyond their signature blend of athletic excellence, theatrical comedy, and ball-handling magic, the Globetrotters transformed our gym into an active classroom. They led a diverse group of students through dynamic warm-up exercises and drills, encouraging learners of all skill levels to step out of their comfort zones, try new tricks, and build lasting athletic confidence. The visit served as a powerful, real-world reflection of the ISK learner attribute: healthy citizen.
The highlight of the event was student interaction with Harlem Globetrotter Paweł Kidoń. As the first Polish-born member of the team—and a native of Southern Poland—Kidoń’s presence resonated deeply with our community. His journey gave students a firsthand look at how goal-setting, perseverance, and relentless dedication can take local talent to an international stage, leaving our learners both motivated and deeply inspired.
