This Thanksgiving, our faculty and staff explored what responsible AI use looks like in education.

We welcomed Carol Jordan, an experienced IB school leader with over three decades of experience in international education and consultancy work with Eblana Education. Carol guided us through key themes, including:

  • Human accountability in AI-supported decisions
  • Current teacher perspectives on AI in the classroom
  • Risks for students when AI produces false information, noting that 49% struggle to evaluate AI output critically
  • Core ethical principles such as transparency, privacy, fairness, accountability, safety, and sustainability

After thoughtful discussions, our faculty and staff relaxed with a trivia quiz, hip-hop dance, and board games before sharing a homemade Thanksgiving meal.

It was a day that blended professional learning, ethical reflection, and warm community spirit. 💡🎉🦃
