Following the Rocket Launch to Mars challenge this Fall, secondary students in Mr. Smith’s Mathematics classes took on a creative engineering challenge: designing and constructing an inflatable “Mars Habitat.” Working in teams, each student took on a specific role to help build modular space pods using plastic sheeting, tape, and fans.

The project integrated concepts of geometry, air pressure, and airflow, encouraging hands-on application of math and science skills. Through careful planning and teamwork, the students created a functional structure that captured the imagination. The final habitat was large enough for entire classes to step inside, and students from across the school were invited to explore it. It was a fun and educational opportunity for everyone to experience the excitement of a possible future on Mars. #QualitySchoolsInternational #QSISarajevo
