
Angela Romney
Executive Committee Member
Angela Romney is an experienced educational leader with a background in both U.S. public schools and international education. She currently serves as Director at The International School of Azerbaijan. Before moving abroad, she held leadership roles including principal, Area Director of Secondary Education, and Managing Director of Academic Programs in a fast-growing U.S. district, where she supported teams through significant change and mentored emerging leaders.
Angela values transparency, equity, and flexible thinking. A former international school student herself, she has worked in Arkansas, Utah, Kuwait, and now Azerbaijan. She has been actively involved in CEESA for the past four years and previously served on several boards and advisory committees in Texas.
Angela lives in Baku with her husband Kimball and their daughter Maya, who has Down syndrome and volunteers at the school. Their two older daughters live in the U.S. with one in university. She enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, and time with family.
