
Paul Johnson
Executive Committee Member
Paul Johnson is the Director of the International School of Latvia. He has worked in education for more than three decades, including 9 years in the USA and nearly 30 years in international schools, serving in teaching and senior leadership roles in Latvia, Thailand, India, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Morocco, and China.
Throughout his career, Paul has worked in schools of varying sizes and contexts, with particular interests in strategic planning, accreditation, organizational development, and building strong school communities. He has also been actively involved with international educational organizations and associations including CEESA, NESA, EARCOS, and MAIS, and has served as a school accreditation team member and chair for MSA and CIS.
Paul values the role that regional organizations such as CEESA play in bringing schools and educators together to learn from one another, strengthen professional practice, and respond collectively to the changing needs of international education. He brings to the CEESA Executive Board a strong interest in strategy, organizational sustainability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Originally from the United States, Paul has spent much of his adult life living and working internationally. Outside of school, he enjoys travel, reading, cooking, staying active, and spending time with his wife, Sepi, and his two West Highland Terriers.
