In twenty years of international experience, Adam Carter has traveled, worked and studied in over a hundred countries.

After graduating from the IB Program, he obtained an Honor's Degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Michigan (1996) and a Master’s in International Relations from George Washington University (2001) in Washington, DC. Adam was awarded a United Nations Fellowship and then a Fulbright scholarship in Spain, where he studied the socio-economic effects of African immigration.

In 2009, he founded his own non-profit organization, Cause & Affect Foundation, and has delivered aid to people in need on four continents. He is currently a social studies teacher at Schutz American School in Alexandria. Egypt, where he specializes in service learning, mindfulness, Model United Nations and global citizenship. He has delivered keynote speeches and motivational talks to students from kindergarten to university on four continents and is published in several newspapers, magazines and educational journals.
He is also an avid yoga practitioner, foodie and travel junkie.
