New Faculty Appointments made at Tashkent International School

Janice Humpleby, Elementary Principal, and Brian Murphy, Elementary Assistant Principal and PYP Coordinator.

 

Janice Humpleby has joined the faculty at Tashkent International School as the new Elementary Principal effective August 2015.

Janice came to TIS from the United Nations International School of Hanoi, Vietnam, where she was the Elementary School Deputy Principal.

She has extensive experience in school leadership, management and administration and has served in various international schools, including Elementary School Assistant Principal and PYP Coordinator at the International School of Amsterdam, Elementary School Assistant Principal at the International School of Zanzibar, Tanzania, and homeroom teacher in the Netherlands, Kenya and England.

Janice holds a Masters of Educational Leadership and Management and Bachelors of Education with honors.

She is joined in Tashkent by her husband and son, grade 8.

Brian Murphy has been appointed the new Elementary Assistant Principal and PYP Coordinator at Tashkent International School. Brian previously taught Kindergarten, grade 4 and grade 5 at TIS. Before Tashkent he taught at schools in England, Canada, Korea, and China.

Brian holds a Bachelors Degree in Education. He is joined in Tashkent by his wife Panawatda and son Sean, grade 2.

TIS was founded in 1994 and is now an International Baccalaureate World School offering all three IB programmes. The school has almost 500 students in preschool through grade 12 from more than 40 countries. TIS is the only school in Uzbekistan authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate programme.
