AIS Budapest is hosting a Consortium of IB Visual Art Teachers

This year, The American International School of Budapest is hosting a Consortium for CEESA and Danube area IB Visual Art teachers to share teaching practices, ideas, and resources, particularly related to the new syllabus, and offer the opportunity for professional development and support.

The workshop will take place in Budapest at the American School campus for two days on Friday, May 14 and Saturday, May 15.  There will be no cost for participation in the Consortium itself.  Participants will need to arrange travel to Budapest, lodging and evening meals.

On Friday, we have invited IB Art trainer and examiner, Heather McReynolds, to work with us looking questions about implementing and teaching the new syllabus. While not intended to be a formal IB training; it will provide the opportunity to collaborate; discuss the changes to the curriculum; and share ways we are implementing them.

On Saturday, we will continue a teacher directed sharing of resources, teaching ideas, and student work. Participants are invited to share techniques, work samples, or ideas and areas of interest for this day.  Please let me know if you would like to share.

To arrange the sessions schedule and Heather's travel plans, please reply with your intention to attend by Friday, March 13, or earlier if possible.  We are able to host around 20 people comfortably in our space for the workshops.  Please also send any questions and suggestions you have about travel or the sessions focus.

Best,
