AISV has been been taking part in this Lithuania-wide charity project for three years already. Last year 73 500 students from 401 educational institutions of Lithuania  took part in the Solidarity Run and fundraised 40 000 EUR which were used for anti-bullying programs in Lithuanian kindergartens and to decrease the mortality rate of kids aged 5 in Zambia (“Every Last Child”).

This year the project was being supported not only by the Lithuanian Ministry of Education and Science but also by Her Excellency Dalia Grybauskaitė, The President of the Republic of Lithuania.

More than 120 students of grades 6-12 and teachers of AISVilnius took part in the event in the beautiful park of Markučiai already in fall colors and fundraised 250,60 EUR which were transfered to Save the Children headquarters to establish a medical center serving children ages 3-6 in Chikabuk community primary school in Zambia and for the development of the educational program for positive parenting (Positive Parenting Program) in Lithuania.
