A New Campus for AIS Zagreb

AISZ commenced construction of a new school campus on September 12, 2017 at a green field site Bundek Park, Zagreb.

The building has a designated A+ energy rating and will accommodate 480 students.  The American International School of Zagreb (AISZ), was established in 1966 and offers internationally focused education in the English language for children from three to eighteen years of age. The school currently has 260 students from 36 countries. Though they will move to a new campus, AISZ plans to continue to look for ways to collaborate and contribute to the local community. The goal is to finish construction by July 2018 and for students to start school in August 2018 at the new campus.

However, a new building is not the only reiteration of learning at ASIZ.

Prior to relocating, the AISZ School Community engaged in a Dream Summit in March 2017 using an Appreciative Inquiry protocol which identified the aspiration of all school stakeholders. We examined what our school felt like, looked like and sounded like when we were working at our best. These attributes were identified and explicitly made part of a new AISZ Learning Ecosystem where everything we do is designed to be interrelated and interdependent; focused on high levels of learning for all and a unashamed belief in excellence; extending extraordinary care and advocacy to all students and a solid belief held by all - that school should be joyful and allow for the pursuit of personalized learning, and the pursuit of dreams.
