[Cancelled] Data Privacy By Design Conference

CEESA and the International School of Brussels will be hosting the Second Annual Data Privacy By Design Conference in Zagreb on March 5 and 6, 2020.

Same city, many of the same great people, same fabulous location at AISZ’s “black box” but very different agenda and speakers — data privacy is a fast moving target.

We know we are on the right track. Leonardo Cervera–Navas, the Supervisor of the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) related his own story of starting out in data privacy, years ago, with a handful of dedicated people and seeing how it has grown.

Our feedback from last year’s conference was excellent with one suggested improvement — it would be ideal to know how other schools implement data privacy.

Testimonials:

  • “Networking and contacts, meeting colleagues and exchanging experience and practices.”
  • “Legal input, awareness of case precedent, schools that had experiences or processes that we could learn from”
  • “The conference was all over informative and Valuable. It was great opportunity to hear form leading experts, and being part of this supportive community”

We love the outcome of the conference!

As follow up, the DPO Maastricht course, Jan 13-17, will be developed around school-specific scenarios. Next, we will follow that same school-specific focus through a case study approach led by the newly-minted, international school DPOs who have just completed the Maastricht course in January. There will be an emphasis on how we provide training, information and digital citizenship awareness to all audiences — our students, parents, faculty and staff.

Registration is now open, register here.
