Raising the Bar: How Boards, Administrators and Teachers Approach Quality Improvement, by David Ottaviano

From University admissions to IB results, to athletic teams, teachers, Board members and administrators have an interest in quality improvement. Yet, too often, the conversation among school leaders turns acrimonious and anecdotal, with little or no progress to show for the energy spent.  Using a model derived from higher education we will explore ways to launch and sustain a quality dialog across multiple areas of the school that proud real results.  While we will discuss specific quality indicators, the session is more about hands-on-practice with the process than the metrics, more the model than the result.
