CEESA Expand your Impact Challenge
We are excited to announce the first ever CEESA Expand Your Impact Challenge. We invite your students to take their service projects CEESA-wide this year.
How does it work?
Students create a team with like-minded peers from across the CEESA region, learn together about social issues, gain tools and skills to solve them from a panel of Youthtopia experts, and be part of a community of changemakers across CEESA.
The CEESA Expand Your Impact Challenge will provide students with access to support all school year (from September 2021 to March 2022) to make your students’ projects a success.
This year’s challenge will be entirely online, making it even easier for you to join.
Step 1 – September 2021
The challenge begins with a two-day online conference on September 24th and 25th where students will be inspired by the amazing keynote speaker Melati Wijsen, activist and changemaker. Students will then select a project focus area to work on based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and they will find their team of challenge group members to work with.
October 2021 – February 2022
Student groups will get support during three online check in sessions with Youthtopia:
- Designing an action plan
- Making a campaign go viral
- How to pitch a project
They also have the opportunity to arrange a CEESA supported session just for their group with a changemaker with experience of their SDG.
At our online conference in March, student groups pitch their projects to a Youthtopia Circle of Youth Activist Panel, CEESA student peers and staff and potentially get the chance to secure additional support for their project as well as further mentoring from young experts in their field to help take projects to the next level.
The Expand Your Impact Challenge is free to CEESA schools.
