09:30-09:45 – Introduction: Welcome message/ Coffee hour

 

10:00-11:00 – Session 1: Changing trends/landscape of university admissions

Presenters: Bela Gligorova (NOVA IS) & Anne Payne (IS Latvia)                   

Short description:

Examining several emerging trends in holistic admissions: Test option/test blind decisions by US schools; dismantling the SAT subject test structure; the Covid effect on liberal arts colleges and highly selective programs.

 

11:15-12:15 – Session 2: SEL curriculum and online SEL counseling

Presenters: Lindsey Moore (AAS Sofia) & Stephanie Smith (QSI Minsk)     

Short description:

Let’s collaborate and learn from each other! Come find out about resources available to support your SEL curriculum work in schools and what is being used by other schools around CEESA. We will share some of our best tips and tricks for supporting implementation and buy-in as well as some of the available standards you can use to guide your program. Time will be included for roundtable sharing by participants.

 

12:45-13:45 – Session 3: Academic counseling curriculum for upper secondary

Short description:

Presenting the benefits and structure of a comprehensive guidance curriculum in grades 9-12.

 

14:00-15:00 – Session 4: Wellbeing for staff, students and families

Presenters: Shawn Edwards, Felina Heart and Erin Hawken (AIS Bucharest)

Short description:

Creative ideas for how to support wellness within your school community.  Ideas for Wellness Week, online faculty fun, student support in and out of the school building, and lots more.  We hope this is a time for us to share what we have been doing as well as learn from all of you!
