For the past 24 years she has championed progressive pedagogical practices, diversity and creativity. Kathleen serves as a keynote speaker for various business and educational organizations, with recent topics on leadership, vision and internationalism.
Besides serving on her own school board, she is the acting Vice-President of the American Chamber of Commerce Estonia and is the Chair of the Future School Foundation in Estonia. She is an educational consultant for the Rinascimente foundation in Italy for disadvantaged children and gives workshops to other schools on her ideas of “compassionate.space”.
Kathleen’s beliefs in education are grounded in the ideas that real learning, deep learning, curious learning is developed in a classroom environment whose design and rituals allow students to find true meaning.
