AIS Vienna was honored to have Jane Goodall visit the school in October. Mrs. Goodall held two assemblies while she was on campus, one with the elementary school and one with the middle and high school. She focused on what students can do every single day to make a difference. She praised the work the community continues to do and was encouraged to find out that we have started a roots and shoots program. Mrs. Goodall also officially opened our new outdoor classroom which we have created in a previously unused area of our campus. The space allows teachers to conduct their classes outside but primarily give the students a chance to learn more about nature and plant their own vegetables.
“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” – Jane Goodall
