At the Spenadlwiese baseball complex in downtown Vienna AIS Budapest, AS Warsaw, IS Helsinki and AIS Vienna all got their years started on a great note.
The tournament that has taken place since 2013 is, not only seen as a way to bond with their own faculty members but also with teachers across the CEESA community. In previous years AAS Sofia and ICS Istanbul have also been apart of the tournament.
After a full day of slowpitch on Saturday, many of the players stayed at the field for some dinner and socializing which capped off a fantastic day of athleticism, collaboration and community building. Congratulations to AS Warsaw for taking home this years title.
The location for next years event has not yet been decided but the tournament has only called Vienna, Budapest and Warsaw home thus far. Maybe next year some new school will join in the fun and even try to host.
Special thanks to CEESA for supporting the event and to Matt Fleming (Budapest) for doing a lot of the organization away from the field.
