Habitat For Humanity Global Village Service Learning program in International Schools

Lecturer: Luisa & Peter Forsgren. Program Area: Service Learning / Strand: Curriculum Design Learning / Grade Level: 9-12.

Luisa & Peter Forsgren, teachers at the American International School of Vienna.

The Habitat Global Village for international schools provides opportunities for students of different cultures to live and work together in a spirit of partnership. The students experience firsthand the challenge of substandard housing. They learn what Habitat for Humanity International is doing to address the issue and how schools can be involved.

This orientation has been developed to help sponsors to share ideas, review build experiences, and prepare them for Habitat Global Village adventures.

Representatives from Habitat for Humanity Global Village, Head Quarters in Bratislava along with AIS Vienna Habitat officers and team members will be present to answer questions, share the Service Learning process and review creative school fund raising events that unite the school community.
