PSI hosted its first ever CEESA swimming tournament last week in the school’s new pool. Our school hosted 8 teams, with some 110 swimmers and 22 coaches, and along with all the support staff and students on hand to help out it was a truly school wide community event.
74 personal best times were recorded during the tournament and a couple of other interesting stats were noted: the students swam a total of 55.7km of water, meaning swimming the equivalent of the length of the Dead Sea, and spent a total of 10 hours 7 minutes in the pool - which would be the flight time from Kiev to Bangkok!
The positive atmosphere and commitment from all the swimmers, as well as the coaches, spectators and everyone who helped out, made it an event to remember.
