Tech Challenge Championships

From March 20th - 23rd, 2014 the AIS Bucharest will host the fourth annual CEESA Eastern European FIRST Tech Challenge Championships robotics tournament.

Teams from CEESA schools and from public schools in Romania and other Eastern European countries will be competing in alliances to win invitations to the US FIRST World Championships in Saint Louis, Missouri, USA. Approximately 12 teams are expected to participate in this year's new game entitled FTC Block Party!

For this year's game teams will be designing, building and programming robots to pickup 2 inch plastic blocks to put into four buckets mounted on a balance board to score points. Teams with level balance boards at the end of the match score extra points. There is also an FTC flag that can be raised and a pull up bar for robots to hang from at the end of each match for additional points. In addition teams will be competing to win 8 judged awards with the Inspire award winner earning an invitation to the world championships.
