Cross-Cultural Collaboration at the American School of Warsaw

The American School of Warsaw hosts students from Colegiul National “Emanuil Gojdu”, Oradea, Romania.

After months of careful planning, the Beyond Bilingual group has had a meeting of minds, hearts and wheels. Through the guidance of their beloved art teacher, participants created eight art pieces on display in the English Department hallway.

After creating the art work, the riders were treated to a guided tour of the Old Town and Palace of Culture and Science. They also had interactive traditional dance exchanges among the two groups of students. On a sunny Saturday over 30 learners embarked their biking journey throughout the city to explore the Praga district street art, The Neon Museum, parks of Saska Kępa, and ended their trip biking along the Vistula river.

The Beyond Bilingual group is six-year long collaboration between Oradea, Romania (Gojdu Collegium), Lodz, Poland (4LO) , and Warsaw, Poland (ASW).  The group’s focus comprises of Student/Teacher cross-cultural collaboration, aesthetics of ecosystems, and sustainable movement (cycling).
