Take a Stand for Kindness Because Cruelty is Not cool by Vicki Hannah Lein

“Be kind whenever possible and it is always possible.” (Dalai Lama)

“Be kind whenever possible and it is always possible.”  (Dalai Lama)

When we take a stand for kindness, we agree to not add aggression to any situation.  We agree to be kind to ourselves and find creative responses to any unkindness we encounter.  We mentally rehearse what we will do so we never have a “cowardice hangover,” regretting that we allowed cruelty to go unremarked in our presence.  This is a tall order and will be carried out imperfectly, but the world needs us to step up and stand up for the dignity and sacredness of all humans.  When we add humor, improvisation, and music to this heroic challenge, we will have a Kindness Movement on our hands.
