This keynote will focus first on the “whys” of Personalized Learning, move through the “whats” and outline the essential “hows” to achieve the shifts required to make this approach achievable and essential for our students.  Much of this content is drawn from the book, Learning Personalized:  The Evolution of The Contemporary Classroom (Allison Zmuda, Greg Curtis and Diane Ullman, Jossey-Bass, 2015).

Greg Curtis is an author and independent education consultant. He is currently based in Beijing and has spent much of his career working with international schools around the world in all-school capacities.

Greg has been a technology director, a curriculum and professional learning director and a strategic planner for schools in Europe, North America, Australia and Asia. He currently works with organizations such as EdLeader21, New England Association of Schools and Colleges, MacTighe and Associates Consulting, EduTect Inc. and schools around the world.

His work focuses on long-term, systems-based change in schools and districts around meaningful modern learning. He currently has two books available: Leading 21st Century Learning: A Playbook for Vision-Driven Schools with Jay McTighe (July, 2015: Solution Tree); and, Learning Personalized: The Evolution of the Contemporary Classroom with Allison Zmuda and Diane Ullman (March, 2015: ossey-Bass ).
