This workshop will present visual art as an educating voice on contemporary global issues such as consumerism, political situations, human rights issues, etc. Art will be considered as an important area of knowledge that can evoke emotion and empathy, as well as action in the viewer. A range of contemporary artists will be introduced that explore various global issues. Classroom connections will be made through the exploration of IB DP student artwork which addresses social and political issues.
