The Pre-Conference on Thursday is designed for educators who are new to using NWEA's MAP assessment. The focus will be on Using MAP Data to Improve Learning, led by Christina Hunter, Senior Manager for Professional Development at NWEA. This full day workshop will be provided by a Grant from the Office of Overseas Schools at no charge to participants.
On Friday, we will have a Keynote: “Current Trends in Science Education and Assessment” presented by Chris Charnitski.
Dr. Margo Gottlieb, co-founder and lead developer for WIDA at the Wisconsin Center for Education Research, University of Wisconsin-Madison, will lead the session “Assessment as Learning: An Approach for Empowering Students” and two workshops: “Drowning in Data? Create a Month-by-Month Timeline of Assessment Measures and Tools” and “Language Power: Exploring Instructional Assessment to Promote Equity”.
As a featured speaker, we also present Shoshana Blauer, Manager of the International Team at NWEA and overseas. Her session will be about understanding MAP Assessments.

The Friday and Saturday Assessment Summit:
- CEESA/ECIS Member schools participants $200 per person
- Non-CEESA/ECIS Member schools participants $300 per person
Participants are responsible for all other travel and meals related to attending this Summit. Coffee breaks and lunch each day, as well as transportation to and from the school, will be provided.
We have reserved room blocks in two hotels. Please choose one of them and reserve your room as soon as possible. After the deadlines, you will need to find another accommodation by yourself.

All rates are including buffet breakfast, free Wi-fi, use of the gym and sauna, all related taxes.
Deadline for the reservations at the Art'otel is August 25, 2017.
Both hotels advise you NOT to use third parties (booking.com, travel agents, Hotel website, etc.) to make your reservations because they do not apply the special conference rates.
