For the second year the AIS kindergarten students are sponsoring a Sock Drive for the homeless and needy. They will be collecting NEW SOCKS (men’s, women’s & children’s) in the lobby at the Student Helper Table.
The table is manned by students from the AIS Habitat for Humanity program. The socks collected will be donated in Vienna.
In their Community Helpers Unit, the kindergarten islearning how everyone can make a difference…even 5 and 6 year olds. The service learning project was inspired by the loving concern of a 4 year old and the Hannah’s Socks organization.
Just think, if every person coming to the conference brought just ONE pair of socks we could collect over 400 pairs to keep those in need warm this winter.
Thank you for your help with our kindergarten community service learning project! Even our younger students can make a difference!
Remember to CARE, SHARE, GIVE A PAIR!
